Why Walk Counselling

The greatest impact on our health is our environment. Studies show that being with nature or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, anxiety and stress. Sharing time in natural outdoors reduces blood pressureheart rate, muscle tension and the production of stress hormones.

Walking counselling provides an atmosphere where you will feel safe and not have the intensity of sitting face to face which can be difficult when talking about things we may feel embarrassed about and find challenging to express.

Walk Counselling Benefits

A different perspective:

Sometimes when we face a problem it can be difficult to see a way out or to find a solution on our own, counselling facilities seeing the problem from a different perspective.

Time to share and process feelings:

We are busier now than ever. Counselling gives you an opportunity to process these feelings with a time set aside to do this.

Share the burden of your problems:

Having one person that you can trust and will listen to you, can give a sense of relief. Keeping everything in can impact your mood and behaviour.

Feeling less alone:

We can be in a crowded room and still feel alone and isolated. It can be difficult to share with people close to us. Talking to a qualified counsellor can help with this.

Finding ways to cope with everyday life:

Constantly feeling worried can impact everyday life, talking in therapy can unload worry and help bring back focus on day to day life.

A neutral third party for couples:

Communication is key to any relationship and in counselling a neutral party can help facilitate healthier ways to communicate.

Improve self-confidence and self-esteem:

The relationship with ourself is one of the most important, counselling can help you build on this.
