As a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist holding a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and a Dip in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College Dublin. I am a fully accredited member of IACP. My skill includes using the following therapies: CBT: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Choice Theory (with couples and anger management), Reality Therapy, Grief Therapy.
As a therapist I work with the following issues: anxiety, family issues, stress management, anger management, relationship issues, depression, self-esteem issues, bereavement, childhood issues, spirituality, cultural difference and mental health.
As a therapist I have adopted client centred humanistic approach to counselling. I am a dedicated and empathetic person, working with adults on a one to one basis and with couples.
I create a safe environment and high level of understanding for clients to work at their own pace. I help clients to integrate coping skills into their life and deal with current difficulties.
Focusing especially on assertiveness, communication in relationships, grounding exercises for anxiety, building up self-worth, self-confidence and self-esteem. Working with the impact of emotional, sexual and physical abuse.
